Ageing Better Middlesbrough Good Neighbour scheme
Ageing Better Middlesbrough’s Peer Friendship project has launched the ‘Good Neighbour’ scheme.
The project is looking for volunteers who can help people in their community with the skills they’ve got. As well as offering a befriending service, Peer Friendship is now offering individuals short term practical support – maybe a lift somewhere or someone to talk to?
Good Neighbour volunteers will offer support to people in Middlesbrough with one off jobs like; moving the lawn, changing light bulbs, taking someone to an appointment or collecting library books.… Read the rest

There are not many people with as many strings to their bow as Angie Kelly.

Unique partnership offers Young People a New Direction
Thousands of unemployed young people across the Tees Valley are set to be helped into learning and work thanks to a brand new £7million project.
