Actes Trust have a proud history of delivering successful work clubs across Middlesbrough. At present, we are delivering work clubs twice a week from our Acklam Green Centre in Middlesbrough, which are open to any unemployed or employed job-seeker aged 16+.
Between 2016 - 2023 we delivered the New Directions Youth Employment Initiative. The programme was co-financed by ESF and DWP, and was match funded by TVCA. We delivered this programme in partnership with New College Durham, Thirteen, Beyond Housing and North Star Housing. Across the lifetime of this programme, we supported over 650 young people into employment, education or training.
Work IT Out was a 5-day course designed to equip learners with improved IT skills to help them navigate Universal Credit and be better prepared to enter the world of work. Delivered in partnership with Hartlepool College, Work IT Out supported over 100 learners, helping to progress 45 into employment, education or training.
Defining Futures was a Level 2 One Award accredited employability course aimed at long term unemployed young people in Middlesbrough who would benefit from in-depth support in exploring their strengths and preparing to enter the world of work. Funded by the Virgin Money Foundation, Defining Futures supported just under 100 learners, supporting 55 into employment, education or training.
Talent Match was a Big Lottery funded programme aimed at supporting long-term unemployed 18-24 year olds to overcome barriers and move closer to progressing into employment, education or training.
Market Yourself was a short employability course which aimed to equip unemployed people with key skills to give them the confidence to promote themselves to potential employers. We delivered Market Yourself between 2013-2018, supporting over 1,300 learners in the process.
